Duct rodder ,also called fiberglass duct rodder,is a powerful auxiliary tool used for rope traction in the pipe. Smooth and flexible surface of the duct rodder can easily make the rope or cable pass through the narrow channel. Glass fiber reinforced plastic wire threading appliance has the advantages of saving time, saving effort and improving efficiency. It is selected as the special tool for pulling cables and optical cables in many fields such as telecommunications, power industry and construction. It also can measure the length of the pipeline, pipe cleaning, acceptance of pipeline.


 

Fiberglass duct rodder

Duct Rodders are composed of fiber glass rod which was extruded by fiber glass and high strength resin at high temperature.High temperature strength and bending properties, which make it to go through narrow pipes easily.Outer protect layer are made of ABS,which has good anti-UV capability. Its surface has the advantage of smooth, wear-resistant and long service. The fiberglass rod is the basic element of the duct rodder, large proportion of high quality glass fiber (80%) is added,which ensures its stability under shear stress. And polyester resin is embedded together to form a compact bound core.We can add copper wire and steel wire inside the fiberglass rod to make the rod traceable and electric.


Copper wire diameter is 0.5-0.51mm. 1-4 copper wires can be added to the rod with diameter less than 6, and the rod with diameter more than 6 can be customized.


Steel wire diameter is 0.8-1.1mm. A glass fiber rod can be added with a steel wire, which can be customized according to customer needs.

Duct rodder with rubber wheels, is also called wheeled duct rodder. Wheeled duct rodder performs obviously advantage over portable duct rodder when the conduit or pipe is very long or complicated. With a rubber wheel on the steel frame, duct rodder is easier to transport at the working condition. wheeled duct rodder is often manufactured with rod diameter changing from 10 mm to 18 mm.
