Cable Pulling Laying Guide, Cable Roller

Straight cable rollers, corner cable rollers, triple cable rollers and specialist cable rollers are for pulling underground cables into trenches. Cable rollers should always be used when pulling cables.

With straight cable rollers, straight cable runs can be pulled suitably placed in the cable trench to prevent the cable being dragged on the trench bottom or in mud. Cable roller space is dependent on cable type being laid and the cable pulling tension along the route. Leading cable rollers are used to support the cable over the entire drum width immediately before being pulled into the trench.
 

 

Power and communication cables are often laid in open trenches, where the road and ground conditions make the cable route with a number of curves. With the cable's own weight and the high tensions involved, the cable cannot be fed cleanly. Cable roller can be fixed in the corner of angle steel cross pole to protect the cable from friction. The roll material can be nylon or aluminum.
